Hello everyone, I hope you are all having a super weekend. Here in the UK, it's still pretty cool and still so grey... but I've been watching the gallery at The Lilypad this week and there's so many layouts that bring me so much joy! A total feast for the eyes so let me bring you a little of that goodness right here!
Lynn's new Posy Kit certainly brought Spring to my life this week! It is so, so pretty. I adore the muted pinks, blues and browns that make this kit completely irresistable!
Sharon Evans was inspired by all the pinks in this kit to create a masterpiece of layering. I love the page composition with the photo top right and the little arrow stickers providing repetition that always looks so good. I also like the use of flairs particularly the one sat alongside the date bottom left. A gorgeous page to showcase this new kit!
Chigirl made perfect use of the blues in the kit for her layout. Her brushwork sits beautifully behind a patterned paper mat and the little pops of pink here and there are a sweet touch. The clustering along the banner strip add depth and I love how the page is finished off by one of the Old Edges. A great page!
Chigirl also used Big Rips Torn Paper Templates.
KarenB gave her photo and elements centre stage and added a torn strip to compliment the photo. I love the delicate layering here, how the flair anchors the photo and the large title makes me do exactly what it says... it makes me smile! A really 'happy' page!
I have one last layout to share with you. Jana_NJ has done a terrific job of showcasing some of the lovely patterned paper in the kit. The beautiful blending and the amazing treatment of the photo on the backdrop make this a truly stellar layout. I also love that there's a whole lot of journaling here too. Element use has been kept to a minimum which I think is perfect for this page. Beautifully done!
