It is one of my favorite times at The Lilypad -- BYOC (Build Your Own Collection). This month the color palette is so sweet and delightful. Lynn has 3 kits available for the collection; Simply This Elements, Simply This Papers and Simply This Templates.
Lynn's Creative Team put together a great collection of layouts to showcase her designs. Some used all three kits while others used only 2. Let's take a look at a few:
First is a layout by Judy, chigirl, titled "Simple Joys". She used the template intact with some added embellishment. The floral paper blends so well into the woodgrain paper.
Jana_NT, Jana, also used all three kits for her layout. She modified the template by removing the upper frame. The gradient photo blends beautifully into the green pattern paper. She added some paints and messy brushes to complete the look.
Carol, Iowan, used the template with the papers and elements, too. She modified the double frame into a single, elongated frame to accommodate her photo. She blended a wash of pink onto the template mask for a subtle bit of color which coordinates with the paper strip.
Lisa, ArmyGrl, used all three kits for a clean & simple design. She kept the template intact with the addition of a small brush with color and a block of journaling.
Here Lisa left off the template and used the elements and papers to make an Art Journaling layout proving that Lynn's designs can fit EVERY style.
KarenB, Karen, used Lynn's collection for a super clean design. The arty mess brush gives just the right amount of flair.
Lorry, lorryfach's, layout titled "Simple Treasure" combines Lynn's three kits with another designer's BYOC alpha for a great page.
Lastly, I'll share my pages. I used another designer's template and some stitching from Lynn's "Stitch in Time_Lengths" along with her papers & elements for this first layout and the Simply This add-on Minikit for the second layout.
